TON Media photographs festivals worldwide. From intimate venues to the biggest stages in the world, the energy, the spectacle and the pure emotion are captured forever.

A festival lasts a weekend. The images you're left with last a lifetime. TON Media is there to capture every highlight, from the first act to the last shower of confetti.
Whether it's a 50,000-strong crowd at Tomorrowland or an intimate forest festival, we translate the energy into images you feel. Plus ready-to-post social content for your next edition.

Fireworks, lasers, flames, stage design, the technical show and the human reaction to it, captured in a single composition.
The freedom, the euphoria, the connection. Festival images that bring you back to that moment, even years later.

โMichiel Ton is a dedicated, professional and a hard-working photographer. I couldn't be more satisfied and happy to work with him. I can assure that he will definitely give you more than what you want.โ
โWe've been working with Michiel since the summer season of 2017 for all our big performances. Michiel is a great photographer, and fun to work with. It's always a good time when we ask him to join.โ
An impression of how TON Media captures a festival.
The questions festival organisers ask us most.
Festival lighting is technically the hardest in photography: harsh spots, bright lasers and explosive fireworks against a dark environment. We work with professional DSLR cameras and fast lenses that can switch quickly between exposure values. Manual exposure is standard, that way the motion is frozen and the atmosphere of the light stays intact.
Crowd photography is about timing and position. We look for the fraction of a second when everyone reacts at once to a drop, a firework or a stage moment. That takes anticipation, knowledge of the music and a feel for when the crowd goes wild. That split second is the difference between a photo of people and a photo you feel.
That's standard at large festivals. We deploy a team where each photographer covers their own stage or zone, working to the same style agreements. That way you don't miss a single moment across the site, and the end result is one coherent whole, regardless of which photographer stood where.
At the end of each festival day we deliver a first selection of the strongest images. They're ready to use on social media while the festival is still going. The full edited series follows within 24 hours of the final day.
Yes, and it's a huge added value for both parties. An artist who shares a great photo of their show mentions your festival with it. If you like, we can create separate download folders per artist so everyone can quickly find their own images.
Absolutely. We have extensive experience with international festivals in Belgium, Thailand, Turkey, Croatia and more. We always agree travel costs and logistics clearly in advance. International bookings are preferably planned 6 to 8 weeks ahead.
That's exactly the idea. Images of a packed stage, smiling visitors and spectacular light shows are the best advert for your next edition. We always also select images specifically suitable as promotional material, wide, impressive and full of energy.
